Re: What are your 5 (or more) favourite sports and why?
Ridiculously football wouldn't even make my top 3 nowadays.

Ruined by money, cheating and shit modern grounds.

Probably watch Cricket, NFL and Golf on TV the most.

6) Speedway used to go West Ham in the late 60's early 70's with the old man down Prince Regent Lane remember it being a huge stadium. Been to Essex Arena to watch Lakeside Hammers but its not the same the bikes are a lot quieter than I remember.

Re: What are your 5 (or more) favourite sports and why?
1. Football - although in reality it’s just watching West Ham and even then that’s taking its toll nowadays. I go and watch England aswell but the game isn’t what it used to be and I’m a young’un saying that.

2. Boxing - proper hard sport to be involved in having been an amateur myself. Love watching a good year up and the technical fights can be just as exciting.

After this I’m not really sure...

3. Horse Racing - something I got into with my step-dad, we’d sit and gamble away, often losing but it was always enjoyable haha.

4. Tennis - do watch a bit of Wimbledon but back in the school days I’d rush home to see it, these days the missus isn’t so keen so I watch it when I can.

5. Greyhound Racing - see point 3

Football....well us more specificaly...rapidly losing interest in the rest of it.

Rugby League....No overpaid tarts in this game, good honest down to earth sport and cant beat the brutality of a full on game. Need to work on the international game though(looking at you Aussies)

Cycling....love the tatics, intensity and build up to a race changing moment.

NFL....Started following it in the early 80's and still love it...just a great game.

Rugby Union

Re: What are your 5 (or more) favourite sports and why?
1. Horse Racing.... got into it in a big way over the past 8 or 9 years.... watching Frankel run is up there with anything ever seen in any sport.

2. Rugby Union ... especially the Internationals and Lions tours... knocks the shit out of International football for intensity... club rugby is getting more enjoyable... even if you follow Quins...

3. Boxing... can't beat a big fight night... legacy from getting up silly o'clock with the old man watching/listening to the great Ali.

4. Football... still occasionally get the odd game that gets the blood flowing but those are few and far between.... loved the world cup... the EPL?? * sighs *

5. Athletics.... legacy from the Coe/Ovett rivalry in the 80's... love the WC and Olympics.

I can't think of a 5th sport I like, unless you count going to the greyhound races and betting on the dog with the prettiest face.

Oh yeah, and strongman stuff.

Don't give a fuck what anyone says.

Watching a human being perform at that level is awe inspiring.

Most of these blokes (and women) are already genetic freaks but the level of training they do is unreal as well.

Most competitors hold down normal jobs as well and are pretty regular people.

Re: What are your 5 (or more) favourite sports and why?
Football - even though i hate watching it, can't not say it.

Thai boxing - love the ceremony around it, the brutality, the way fights always speed up rather than slow down. Watching it live is immense.

Boxing - as a casual viewer it's exciting. Never been one to get involved in the politics like many do.

Basketball - the pace and energy. Exciting as fuck.

Bowls - watched it being played for the first time ever last weekend. It was literally a load of old blokes getting pissed and arguing and chucking balls around. Fantastic stuff. Gonna make a habit of it.
